Durham Report Reveals Just How Far Obama's CIA Chief John Brennan Went To Push Trump-Russia Collusion
Within this report, Durham made mention of the different and contradictory statements made by Mr. Brennan.
John Durham, the special counsel appointed by Trump's Attorney General William Barr to examine the malfeasances of the FBI's Operation Crossfire Hurricane and Mueller's previous report on the claim that Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election, accused former CIA Director John O. Brennan of making contradictory claims to the media versus what his testimony was before formal commissions about the discredited claim of collusion, according to Just the News.
Durham's probe found that the FBI, given the evidence (or lack thereof), never should have launched their investigation of Trump and that the agency relied on "raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated intelligence" to launch their now discredited Operation Crossfire Hurricane and applied a different standard of justice when it came to Hillary Clinton's campaign own alleged election interference. Within this report, Durham made mention of the different and contradictory statements made by Mr. Brennan.
Before the media, Mr. Brennan was a prominent voice promoting the Trump-Russia conspiracy and authored an article in the New York Times titled "President Trump’s Claims of No Collusion Are Hogwash" in 2018. He accused John Ratcliffe, Trump's Director of National Intelligence, of selectively declassifying material (that included Brennan's notes) about 2016 that showed Trump in a good light. He similarly claimed that Trump had yanked his security clearance because the Republican president was trying to hide the fact he colluded with Russia. The former intelligence chief went before MSNBC to tell his host that he expected Robert Mueller's probe into Trump's collusion with Russia to result in criminal indictments against Trump.
Mr. Brennan also testified before the House Intelligence Committee in 2017 under oath, saying, "I encountered and am aware of information and intelligence that revealed contacts and interactions between Russian officials and U.S. persons involved in the Trump campaign."
