STEP TWO: Ways that you can vote in the November 5th General Election.
There are two ways you can vote early starting on October 8th, 2024
Everyone in the state of Ohio that is registered to vote can vote by mail or in person at your county board of elections office or voting center.
VOTE EARLY BY MAIL:
For this election Secretary of State Frank LaRose has mailed out absentee voting applications to every registered voter in the state of Ohio. If you have not received one in the mail this would be a great time to check your registration to make sure everything is correct. Click here to check
If your registration is in good standing and you need an absentee application you can click here to print a copy OR download.
If you are unable to print a copy you can call your board of elections and request an application to be mailed to you or you can stop into your county board of elections office. Click here to find contact information for your board of elections.
November 4: Mailed absentee ballots must be postmarked by this date
November 5: Absentee Ballots may personally delivered to your county board of elections. If not returned by mail, absentee ballots must be received by your board of elections by 7:30 p.m.
VOTE EARLY IN PERSON:
Starting the day after the close of voter registration, registered voters may cast an early in-person ballot at their county board of elections. For the early in-person voting location in your county click here
Early In-Person Voting: October 8 and includes the two Saturdays and the two Sundays before Election Day.

October 8-11: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
October 14-18: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
October 21-25: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
October 26: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
October 27: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
October 28: 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
October 29: 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
October 30 - November 1: 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
November 2: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
November 3: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

VOTING ON ELECTION DAY:
All polling locations will be open on November 5th from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM

Voter Identification Requirements / Types of Valid ID
There are several types of valid photo identification.
Ohio driver's license;
State of Ohio ID card;
Interim ID form issued by the Ohio BMV;
A US passport;
A US passport card;
US military ID card;
Ohio National Guard ID card; or
US Department of Veterans Affairs ID card
All photo IDs must have the following:
An expiration date that has not passed;
A photograph of the voter;
The voter’s name, which must substantially conform to the voter’s name as it appears in the Poll List or in the Poll Book
NOTICE: An unexpired Ohio Driver License, State ID Card, or Interim Documentation with your former address IS an ACCEPTABLE form of ID when your current address is in the pollbook.
If you do not have any of the above forms of identification, you may cast a provisional ballot.
If you do not provide one of the above forms of photo ID, you will still be able to vote using a provisional ballot. However, for that ballot to be counted, you must return to the board of elections no later than four days following Election Day to provide a qualifying form of identification. If you do not have a photo ID because of a religious objection to being photographed, you may complete an affidavit of religious objection and have your provisional ballot count.
